Asha Sedalia Bruot has been working in public relations in the Washington, D.C. area for nearly 15 years. Her work spans from the hospitality/restaurant industry and non-profit sector to law firms and corporate giants like AT&T. Her work has resulted in news opportunities from large to small publications and news/radio stations, like New York Times, Seattle Times, CNN, Newsweek, WUSA-9, WJLA-7, FOX-5 and NBC-4 television stations, WTOP-FM, The Washington Post, Food Service Monthly, Washington Business Journal, Frederick News Post, Legal Times, Washingtonian magazine, Hotel & Motel Management magazine, NewsChannel 8, Manassas Journal Messenger, Bull Run Observer, PW Pulse, Timespapers, as well as several trade industry magazines.
Asha earned her master degree in public administration from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA and a bachelor degree in journalism from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. She excels in management, media training, client relations and business strategy. She is a member of the Prince William Chamber of Commerce, on the Board of Directors for the Center for the Arts in Old Town Manassas, VA and a member of the Public Relations Society of America. She received special recognition awards from Hyatt Regency Reston in Reston, VA for dedication and excellence in public relations and marketing and from AT&T Global Information Solutions in Dayton, Ohio for dedication to hard work in their organization.
